Edward enlisted the service in Oregon with service number # 6551601.

 

 

Edward was KIA  when the USS Franklin got attacked by the Japanese planes, on March 19, 1945, he  is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Edward is buried/mentioned at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.

He also got a Memorial grave at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA.
