Orville entered  the Service from Pennsylvania with service # 6520438.

 

Orville was KIA  the ship sunk true fire from the Island,during the Battle of Guadacanal, on Nov. 13, 1942 ,  is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Orville is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
